SOUNDS OF LOGOS: THE VIBRATORY HARMONIES OF DNA
Susan Alexjander

Susan Alexjander, composer, performer, and music educator, will introduce us through her composition, Sequencia to the understanding of ourselves as harmonic beings expressing the Logos of creation through sound vibration on all levels. Created in collaboration with UCSC biologist David Deamer, using tuning banks of sound derived from the molecular vibrarations of DNA, her music offers a glimpse into the mathematical/mythical structures that compose us — the haunting, often beautiful whispers of the invisible world within.

PARADIGM SHIFT: DEMOCRATIZING THE GLOBAL ECONOMY
Kevin Danaher

Kevin Danaher, Co-founder of Global Exchange will talk about replacing the dominant,corporate-controlled paradigm of money, violence, and moral corruption with a global movement based on life values, nonviolence, and sustainable “green” economies that can create “people’s capital” through new jobs, goods, services, and educational opportunities. maintaining that present violence is a a sign the dominant paradigm is in decline as contradictions intensify, he challenges us to.

“build a movement – create a vison – rock the world – change history!”

ICONIC SPIRAL: A WHOLE WHIRLED

Michael S. Schneider

Michael S. Schneider, author of A Beginners Guide to Constructing The Universe, will take us on a visual exploration of the spiral, the most widespread shape in nature and a worldwide symbol of emerging higher consciousness. In an illustrated talk he’ll show its unfolding / enfolding pattern to be the archetype of all self-referencing systems including seashells, pinecones, atoms, embryos, galaxies, the play between order and chaos, the fractally proportioned expansion of Cosmos toward greater self – awareness of its simultaneous unity.

Thursday, December 11, 7:00 pm California Institute of Integral Studies, Room 306, 1453 Mission Street, SF ASTHETIC RECONSTRUCTION: PERFORMING THE REAL Martha Senger Martha Senger, conceptual artist/activist, cultural theorist, and Director of the G2institute, will speak on the evolutionary shift to an integral aesthetic mode of being after 6,000 years of patriarchal control. A cultural change of state now emerging throughtout the world, Senger will connect its patterns with the fractal order that underlies art and nonlinear science and their coming unification in the collective imagination – predicting we’ll once again perform the real as in an earlier cycle of dreamtime, an aesthetic praxis that will supercede art as an autonomous domain.
